About this position

Roles & Responsibilities

Given our current market share and in view of our ambition to expand further our
footprint on the Belgian audit market within Financial Services, and more in particular
in the insurance sector, our objective is to continue to invest in talented teams,
including our in-house actuarial expertise. In this regard, we are looking for a (Senior)
Advisor Actuary.

As (Senior) Advisor Actuary, your role will be to

• Further develop our in-house actuarial expertise, related (digital) toolings and
coach junior profiles ;
• Support our Audit and Financial Advisory Services teams on a variety of
technical matters such as (I) technical provisions in accordance with BE GAAP,
IFRS and/or SII, (II) Solvency Capital requirements, (III) employee benefits
under IFRS and BE GAAP (incl. the technical provisions of Belgian Institutions
for Occupational Retirement), etc.;
• Provide training and industry insights on recent developments within the
aforementioned technical matters both to our clients as internal;
• Assist both our Audit and Advisory services in business development activities;
• Connect to and cooperate with our European actuarial competence centres in
a.o. France and UK. Given our integrated global partnership, you will have the
opportunity to not only work with our local teams (and local clients) but also with
the Mazars experts within our global network.

Skills & Qualifications

• You are a qualified actuary and have at least 1 (Advisor Actuary ) to 5 (Senior
Advisor Actuary) years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
• You have gained (a first) experience in Solvency II, IAS 19, IFRS 17, IORP I/II,
pricing, ALM and/or risk management. Experience in automation and
digitalisation of processes as well as the development of training programs are
considered as an asset.
• Ensuring high quality of work and the development of professional relationships
through clear and open communication is very important to you.
• As a team player you are flexible and you are motivated to work simultaneously
on a variety of projects. You have excellent technical skills and express yourself
fluently in English, Dutch and/or French.
