About this position

Requirements:

  • With minimum 3 or 4 years working experience in financial field (e.g. reporting, financial controller, financial audit in international audit firms, etc.)
  • MBA (Finance) or Masters degree in Finance and Accounting
  • ACCA preparing for the accreditation is a plus
  • Good knowledge of IFRS standards. IFRS Implementation / IFRS Reporting Experience would be a plus
  • Experience in financial institutions (eg insurance companies, banks) is a plus
  • Proficiency in English with French being a plus (oral and written)
  • Consulting experience and problem-solving skill
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Is ambitious, analytical, flexible but also accurate, reliable, and committed
  • Very good capacity for analysis and synthesis
  • Acts with an attitude of professional skepticism
  • Is clear and concise in oral and written communication
  • Willing to continuously improve their knowledge
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Very goof computer skills (MS Office)
  • Project co-ordination skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research, assess, analyze, and document financial reporting and operational requirements for the full IFRS framework such as IFRS 17 (Insurance Contract) and IFRS 9 Financial Instruments (Classification and Measurement)
  • Assist in identifying, developing, testing and implementing IFRS accounting operational and reporting solutions to meet financial and regulatory reporting requirements, map financial reporting processes and modify control procedures, as required
  • Provide support in documenting current processes and new IFRS requirements
  • Facilitates small to large meetings and conducts information gathering and/or training sessions
  • Apply understanding of current reporting processes and develop in depth understanding of IFRS requirements to provide necessary training and support to reporting financial reporting team and other finance segments groups, as required
  • Analyze current state of finance function, perform gap analysis, make recommendations for future state and design to be processes
  • Bring diverse and thought-provoking perspectives, including relevant market trends, new and innovative ideas from your experience and Mazars points of view to explore solutions
  • Coordinate IFRS implementation processes
